2nd question, did this tournament sell out last year?  How does it work for the days, does the first 350 ppl to sign up get day one? or can you choose a day to play?

Prize pool is definately crazy structure. 2 questions I have, does anybody know how many runners this tournament has at this point. When I satelited in last weekend, the casino staff made the turn out seem pretty grim. Secondly, do they allow final table deals at this tournament or casino?

As of right now, they have day one as SOLD OUT with 170 players and day 2 has 25 players.


It looks like the consumers are tired of the horible structure and payouts.

Wow capping each day at 170, that would mean under 350 people in this turny. That would be a huge down turn in entrants and bring the top prize under 100k. Might as well just make this a Saturday Sunday event so people don't have to take Monday off.

Anyone out there know if this is still 2 group, 3 day event? With such low numbers was curious if they just make this a saturday and sunday event. Here is to hoping for at least 350 people for this event.

sooo whats the deal for the state championship tourney really only 170 for satuday? i guess i picked a bad year to play in this thing..... i have a sunday ticket is it still going to be a 2 day starting field?

satellite tables have been running regularly the last couple days, and plenty of people have been talking about signing up. 
I don't think there is going to be an issue that the field is going to be to thin.
people are waiting to the last minute, i think there will be a rush at the last minute...

When i left at about 11 a.m today there were "pretty close to 400 signed up" according the the person at the tourney sign-up window.

Looks like the final tally was 668 players over the two starting days.
Just over 91 will start on Monday at 11 a.m

Thanks for the update.  I was wondering if it would be worth going in after work to play and obvserve whos left in the tourney during my breaks, sounds like that is a yes, it should still be going on around 5 for sure.
