Hey guys,

My name is Ryan, i'm usually playing the 5-150 game M-F in the mornings. But I was wondering why CAZ doesn't spread a 10/20 game (or maybe get rid of the 8/16 and get a timed 10/20?) Is there just no interest in this? Also, anyone know why they don't have a lower limit mix game?

Caz used to have a 10/20 game many years ago.  It just died off, it really wasn't an action game and full of nits to be quite truthful, the lack of action killed it, it self destructed.
Probably one reason it died is because it was a red chip game, the pots just never looked quite big enough.

I doubt you would have an easy task getting CAZ to get rid of the 8/16 game( too loyal of a player base that LIKE the 8/16)  IF the game were to get going, i would almost insist that they play it with blue chips...itactually might encourage the 8/16 players to step up.( because of the sizes of the pots)

As far as a lower limit mix game...good luck on day shift, at least early day, but try to start a list, talk to the shift boss and see what they will try to accommodate, keep in mind that any game that will be detrimental to the current games by breaking them or shorting players is going to be a hard sell.

It doesn't hurt to ask or try though.

10-20 games have  a reputation as lacking action because with red chips the bets  are only 2 chip/ 4 chip, and the pots just don't look as large. It's an old Casino rule that the bigger the pots, the more action players like the game. So they decided to go to 20-40 and 8-16, both of which bet 4 chip/ 8 chip and have bigger visual pots. Personally I'd love a 15-30 holdem game because I like the $10/$15 blind structure.

There has always been minor interest in lower limit mixed games, but as nico said you need to collect a list of interested players. I'd participate if the games  were in the day.  Until then they occasionally run a 30-60 mix as the lowest mix game offered.
