I'm heading to Vegas tomorrow for a few days and am wondering what poker rooms everyone would suggest.  The only one that I have played in before is the mgm and think the game there is fairly soft.  Any recommendations are welcomed! Thanks!

Venetian, Bellagio and Caesars are the best rooms in town. Also check out www.allvegaspoker.com for my info

I second the allvegaspoker.com suggestion.  If you are looking to play 1/2 NL (some places spread 1/3), almost everywhere you go will have it.  Bellagio is the only place I know of off the top of my head that doesn't spread 1/2 or 1/3 NL, their smallest is 2/5 NL.  The rooms that will always have more than one game going are Venetian, Caesars, Wynn, and MGM.  The rest (like Imperial Palace, Ballys, Harrahs, Monte Carlo, TI) usually have at least one game of 1/2 NL going.  Everywhere is fairly soft at that limit, but of course it all depends on your table.  Where are you staying??

Good Luck!!

I think the Caesar's game is 1/3 but it's a good game and a nice room.  I'd definitely recommend it.

I have played at the MGM a number of times and don't care for it too much.  It's loud because it's right in the middle of everything and adjacant to the sports book.  I also found the players, at least when I was there, were a little better than at some of the trashier places like Excalibur and Hooters.  However, 1/2 games across the board are quite weak.  I would strongly recommend against playing poker or any other game at Luxor, I've found the staff there to be rude and unpleasant.

I stayed at the MGM.  I played 1/3 at the Wynn, 1/2 at MGM twice, and 1/2 at the Riviera.  Overall the games were beyond soft.  I covered all expenses (plane, hotel, drinks, food, cabs, etc) with another thousand on top.  I wish I would have seen your post about the bellagio, caesars, and the venetian before I left.  I'll have to check those rooms out next time I go.  And kinda surprisingly, I saw about 8 people that play regularly at CAZ.
