At one point last night after the blinds passed I had exactly 666 chips.

Haha, nice.  I had about that much tonight.  The most I had was about 648 chips though, I never got above 3300 I don't think (but I was in for 2000).

3300? playing 5-150?  buying in for 2000 is a lot.

oh, so a good player can win over $1000 a night? Not that I'm ready for that level this year or next.

Yes, it is quite commonplace to win $1000 in that game, that is only 2 racks.  That is the equivalent of winning $200 in 4/8 or $400 in 8/16.  But I have also had a few session where I have dropped around $1500, with my biggest session loss (in 20/40 (oh no, a qualifier...)) around $2000, so its both sides of variance.

So, those are $5 chips?   What color are they? I can't really tell by the picture.

Thanks.  I was thinking to myself "Those $5 chips can't possibly be white." I thought maybe they were a soft blue or something and the camera phone didn't pick up the color well. LOL  Thanks again.

This was a white chip (4/8) game on table 2, Sunday the 14th.  I was in seat 8.  My chip count exceeded 800 towards the end of the Diamondbacks game but I only took a picture of the 666 because I thought it was funny.  I started with 200 at 2am and ended with 813 at 10pm... never colored up.  A nice 5x4x40stack brick of chips noticeable from the smoking section.  3.83 BB/hr for 20 hrs. Eight racks can get heavy waiting at the cage.  Not a record though.  Everyone in line had their "I made 1000, 1200, 1500... in 12 hours once at 4/8" story.  Life is good.  I'll go spend it on beer.

I have never made that much at 4/8, so congrats!  My biggest win might have been just shy of 400.  I don't think I have ever booked a win bigger than 5 racks, but I also usually keep my sessions to about 8 hours, and very very very rarely (maybe twice in 1200+ hours of playing) have I gone over 10 hours.  Just don't move up too quickly, I don't want to see any good players coming into my 20/40 game, go spend it on beer!

Whats the reason for 8hrs or less at 4/8? I mite learn somthing here.

Not at 4/8, but at any game in particular.  The game turns into a blur if I play more than 8 hours usually, and when I go play, I usually set how long I will be there, so I don't miss other parts of my life, like jobs, dinners with family/girlfriend, ASU games, etc.  Just a personal preference, nothing scientific.

The picture was at 6 or 7pm.  About 16 hours into a 20 hour session.

Thanks brother.  I had them cut off in November.  After 15 years of looking like a scary individual it is a new experience having strangers come up, say hi and shoot the $#!+.
