Title: Good Luck On Saturday (And Hopefully Sunday!)
Post by: that_pope on August 17, 2007, 12:21:32 AM
Good luck to everyone playing the tourney.  I will be there around 10:30 or 11 to play live games, and I will probably come by on Sunday, so if anyone makes day 2, let me know, and I'll cheer you on!

Good Luck!!!

I hope I'll be able to post a pic of me holding the trophy, wearing the ring, and swimming in the money.

You are pretty close....Can I take 10% of you for $200?

BTW, Hass has about an average stack with 20 people left.  45 people moneyed, 45th place was $1100, and 11th is $1500.

Get to that final table bud!

Seriously, the payout structure is ridiculous.  The jumps between 3-4 and 10-11 are huge.  What's more, I was told the casino would not be accepting deals.  I'm not sure I've ever even heard of a tournament of 450 players where 1st got half the prize pool or where 11th got just 1.5X their buyin.

Oh well, I had a good time playing.  Every time I play a tournament I feel like I learn quite a bit.  They are incredibly exhausting though, I can't imagine how players travel the circuit playing in all the major ones at a high level.

GL tomorrow, Hass.

Ya, now that I have made it this far I wish the payout would have been a little more evenly spread out.  Other than that I believe it has been a great tournament.

Thanks for the support guys.  Hopefully see you late Sunday afternoon.
