When I was in the casino last weekend, I found a couple new regional poker publications available among the Cardplayer and PokerPlayer Newspaper.
They are:
Elevation Poker

Appears to cover New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and South Dakota
Kind of a glossyish magazine and the main story was about Hearland Poker Tour in Colorado
Arizona Poker
www.azpokernews.net (http://www.azpokernews.net)
It an actual newspaper, but focuses only on AZ poker, which means mainly Casino AZ stuff. Has columns from local players like Tom Schneider and Pat Poels.
I have only browsed through them, but thought I would give you guys a head up on them. The Arizona Poker newspaper is going to attempt to publish all CAZ tourney winners in it.
Note: I have no relation to either of these, just wanted to pass this info on.
With all due respect, if the websites for these ventures is any indication of success, then expect them to fade soon, not very well designed or implimented, content is negligible...
the azpokernews "daily jackpots" link list the jackpot amounts at all the casinos as 1,000,000 , oh except for Harrahs whose Holdem jackpot it seems is "7500,000".
The web presence is almost more important than the print. First impressions like they say.
