As a first timer here, want to say great site and a lot of good ideas here. As for the problems I have read about: unprofessional, lazy staff, rule confusion, etc. I can say that as long time employee at CAZ it has been a long 11 years on the learning curve and we are trying. For those of you who still do not know what that big building is next to the tent --we are building a 4 Star, 497 room resort that will INCLUDE the poker room. We are currently undergoing training to get everyone on board to bring a NEW level of service and professionalism to the casino and poker room in particular.
The new resort is scheduled to open January of 2010. We will bring a whole new level of service (and poker action!) to Arizona! The resort has been selling rooms nationwide for a long time and this will bring a lot of new poker players to the room. Although this may sound like an ad, I am just a lowly employee who is proud to say that we are finally doing everything we can to correct old problems and sincerely do everything we can to make CAZ #1 in all areas.
That being said, I hope I can be of help to any of you that need it in the future and would be happy to answer questions as I can on this forum. Thanks for playing and we truly appreciate each and every one of you!
Since you are hinting at it, why don't you go into specifics about the room itself, since this is a poker room forum after all.
:heart: We haven't been informed of too many specific changes as of yet..I will keep you posted...I do know that everything in the room will be top of the line, new tables, chairs, tv's, etc. and that the room itself will be located very near the front entrance--important if you have ever been to a mega resort in Vegas and looked for the next 45 minutes for the room located in the back next to the laundry room! I will relate more specifics to you as I get them!

I just heard this morning that poker players will have "preference" on parking and will be allowed to park in the new ramp at the new resort. :heart:
I hope they don't raise the price of bottled water to $2.

Haha, I couldn't believe that. But I always get ice water at CAZ anyways, I can't believe the waitresses don't push that more. They will get a $1 chip either way, in one case, they keep the whole $1, in the other case, they only get $.50.
