I haven't been playing much lately as life's kept me busy with other things. I hadn't planned any more Vegas trips this year but I have a friend who just moved there and was complaining about not knowing anyone so I figured I'd go see him for the weekend. I was going to just stay with him but room rates are ridiculously cheap right now so I'm going to stay at the Tropicana. A lot of people seem to dislike that place but I stayed there a few years ago and the room was comfortable enough. I went to CAZ for the first time in about a month on Saturday and managed a pretty good run at 5/150. I then did some more "practicing" for my trip on Tuesday morning. Won a bit playing cash but no cigar in the tournament. Anyway, hopefully this trip will be more successful than my last one. I think it helps a lot knowing someone there as opposed to my solo outing in June. I went in April with a group of people and had a much better run of it. I'll let you guys know how it goes this time if anyone is still reading these forums
Yeah, they are basically giving away rooms. If you have played any table games at any Harrah's property and have a Rewards card, they are giving away free rooms. It doesn't help that December is usually their slowest month to begin with.
