As we all know, they are building a new building at the Indian Bend site.  Supposedly it will have a hotel, but I know very little about it, and seen no plans at all (they should have a model or something of it, to see what our money is going to).

Since I know little about it, I was wondering if anyone knew what the future of the poker room will be like at the new place.

Are there going to be more tables (could really use it on Tues/Wed night for tourneys, as well as on weekend nights)?

Is it going to be an actual room or two, instead of just an open space like it is now.  An actual rail around the tables would make it feel more like a poker room, but might promote smoking that much closer to the tables.

Also, a seperate high limit section might be nice as well, but that is lower down on my list of priorites.  I think safety deposit boxes could be a nice thing as well.  Or a seperate tourney area.

Anyone else have a wish list, or information on the future?

Ya, more old guys that hate money.

I like you're idea about a rail like Wynn or B.

A high limit room would be neat also.  10 tables or so for 20/40 and higher.

I'll post later if I can think of anything.

-Deposit boxes(or a players bank) would be a big plus and could be placed in the poker cage at a minimal expense.

-A bathroom that isn't a half mile from the poker room would be a nice feature in a new room.

-This one is out there a bit and would set a precedent in poker rooms across the country but complimentary bottled water/juices would be nice, tho charging for the water only hurts the servers...

-As others have mentioned, a seperate top section and more tables (particulary to be used as tournament tables so as to avoid what has to happen now so that low buy in tourneys can be run) would be nice.

I'll hold off on any other ideas so I don't sound like the whiny nit that I am.

Rumors:

* New room will only have "a few more" poker tables than currently.

* Might not be a rumor, but I think I've also heard that it won't be a dedicated poker room; they have to have other tables (or slots?) in there as part of the agreement

* Once new room is built, there will be a WPT event (and preliminary events)

Heard the same

Not so sure about this...i have in fact heard that it will be segregated from the rest of the casino with its own entrance from the parking garage(close).

Oh my, a parking garage connected to the poker room.  That will make the long summer sessions more pleasureable without having to worry about how hot my car is.  I would very much love that!

And a WPT event, I am drooling over the juiciness of the cash games.  That would be a good time to take a shot at a higher level, but, won't the big pros get bored when the biggest game is 75/150...a WPT even would have to bring a change in the betting limits I would think.

Id like to see "speed cloth" on the tables rather than the covering that is on them now, maybe even a color change of the layout.
