I don't know her and cant comment on her abilities but, someone has done a xxxxing horrible job on this property.

If this is a four diamond property, someone got paid off.  So many players and employees are so disappointed.  I am one of them.

the comments after the article range the gambit from support to complete frustration

From the article:
"She also notes that the tribe was able to get the best prices on construction materials and the best-quality labor because it built the resort at a time when there were few other major construction projects."

"tundra" responds:
This explains why the facility looks like it used IKEA materials for construction and built the job on-the-cheap. The 'resort' really lacks character, cannot finish construction on-time, is cramped on the gaming floor. The list goes on and on. The Tribe should not be happy until they get professionals to come in and finish the job. As a CFO, Patricia should know the high cost of cheap. It shows in the 'cubic-zirconia' property they put together....far from the once-billed '4 diamond'.

one responder predicts that the property will be taken over by a conglomerate like Harrahs...

I agree with the above in that overall they did a pretty crappy job with this property, especially since the spa and hotel still aren't open and there is a huge concrete disaster where the pool is supposed to be. If they were 440mil and 5 years in, I don't see why they didn't wait another 6 months and 50 mil and finish this thing off properly.

Someone summed up the poker room the best to me the other day. She said, the built the room, then squeezed in the tables, instead of putting the tables in and build a room around it. Still the best in Arizona, but could have been Vegas Strip quality if done properly.

The hotel still is not open, not sure what is going on, heard rumors of code issues, who knows.
It does seem pretty shortsighted to open the place as a "resort" and not have an operating hotel...or pool, in Arizona.

Nidociv, where you playing today, and if so, what were you playing?

We were talking about the resort at our table, so I was thinking you may have been at my table if you did.

I was playing 8/16 on table 20.

I was not there on Sunday, but the resort has been a subject of conversation more often than not at games i have been in. You will probably run in to people talking about the resort a lot, especially if its a code issue...that will generate all kinds of speculation i would guess.
