I have been lower limit hold em at casino arizona for years now..and I always see a few older gentlemen playing who have CA employee tags. A friend of mine mentioned to me that they are "fillers" pretty much, playing with their own money but also earning an hourly wage. Is this true? Cause if it is, thats pretty awesome. I would love to get paid to play..especially during the casinos down time at the poker tables. (4-8am) I grind all day at the tables. ALSO will there be a new poker room at the resort? Or will they just expand on the current one.

There will be a new poker room and I believe the tents are going away. I don't know about your other question.

The "fillers" as you refer to them are called "Hosts" on their name tags, there used to be a lot more of them years ago when the casino first opened.  There are very few of them left and i don't believe that they hire news ones, as they quit the position just goes away though attrition.

As far as the new casino, there will be a new room in the new building the current tents will go away as far as ive heard...i cant imagine they would build this new resort and then leave the tents up, they would be pretty big eyesore that close and in front of the new place.

I did a quick 5 minute search and couldn't find anything either.  And I agree that it is in their best interest to not circulate pictures until opening day.  Give the staff some time to learn the new chips, so counterfeits will be easier to spot.

I AM SO PUMPED FOR THE OPENING!! so from what i hear the tents have been sold to a tribe in Oklahoma..will the new poker room be in the actual resort then? I am hoping they take a venetian feel to the room, tables, chairs etc.
