I think I'll be playing in this one this Saturday

CrazyLond

Got my entry today, I'm at table ...oh jeez, just realized it doesn't say what table and seat on my ticket!  I'll have to check sometime this week, yikes.

CrazyLond

Table 38, seat 3.  Good luck to anyone else who's playing in this one.

CrazyLond

I went out in 2nd round.

Why do people see any pair in their hand, even when their M is over 30, and figure that's a good time to push all-in preflop?

CrazyLond

Giving it another go this Saturday.  Table 41, seat 4.  Maybe I'll start doing the Jerry Yang strategy of telling everyone else at the table God is on my side to put people on tilt.

I played at table 41 on Saturday. After table 17 was broken up, I was moved to seat 9.

Finished in 28th place for $279.

Lost with 10-10 against A-10, 9-9 against A-9 and finally A-K against 10-10.

CrazyLond

I was at table 41 from the start until I busted out with about 60 players left.  I was doing great for a while with about 12K chips in level 3, but then I lost a huge pot with KK vs AK.  Didn't get any hands for a while, got kindof short, pushed AIPF with 55, ran into KK and was left with 600 chips.  Blinds at this time were 500-1000.  I doubled/tripled up a few times to get to about 8000 chips.  Then I ended up with AQ and went AIPF against TT, losing the race.

Seat 9, hmm.  I think you may have been the one to beat my KK with AK.

Yep, that was me.

CrazyLond

Well, congrats on the cash.  Do you play many of the regular tournaments there?  I've been doing a bunch lately trying to get points.

trussdude

I play about 3 or 4 a year of the EOM tournaments and some of the other big ones. I'll probably play the bounty tournament in December. I also play $5-$150 once in a while.

I'm heading up to the WPT at the Bellagio next month to play the side games for a couple of days.

Does this tournament fill up or sell out?  I was thinking of playing this weekend, but wouldn't be able to register before the tournament starting time.

I played it once, and was able to sign up the day of.  I think they will use all tables if the demand is there...I think you will have no problem if you show up 30 minutes before it is scheduled to start...good luck!

CrazyLond

I'm not sure about how late you can get them, I actually got a seat for this Saturday on Tuesday night and only about 30 people had signed up at that point.
