Playing in turn is important to a smooth and fair game.
Players should not indicate in any way, what their action will be prior to their turn to act.

The most blatant examples include; verbally stating an action, or placing chips in a pot out of turn, or getting up from the table and leaving the hand...all before the action has reached that players position.

A more subtle example includes holding the cards in a position indicating they will be folded.
Just remember, anything that you do that indicates how you might act( before it IS your turn), is considered "acting" out of turn.

"Out of turn" does not merely refer to the act of physically releasing the cards to the dealer.

Interesting twist to "play in turn"...
4/8 holdem
One bet around the table(maybe two folds out of the 9 players) to the button( seat 9) who raises.
SB three bets
BB caps
Dealer has called each raise, but as soon as he says "Cap !" the button, the cutoff seat 6 and 7 ALL start cutting out their call of 16( by actually placing them out next to their original call).
Dealer calls time and asks these players to play in turn, there are still other that need to act.
A couple of them say " who cares" its capped.
Dealer just says..."trust me" i will explain it after the hand is over.
They comply.
When the hand is over the dealer explains to the guys who were out of turn...
Its about the math, you guys always talk about pot odds, this is exactly why you shouldnt call a cap out of turn. If the next guy to act hasnt decided whether he is going to call $16 but then sees you guys all have already called, suddenly it is mathmatically correct for him to call, he is getting much better pot odds.
The reason you dont want this to happen is because now you are actually bringing IN a hand that could beat you that other wise may not have played.
"Ohhhhhhhhhh, yeah that makes sense"

This "if it is capped, everyone just call regardless of position" senario happens quite often in the LLH games at CAZ.

This even happends at 20/40.  I have seen it happen at other card rooms too though.

It will be impossible to get people to stop cocking their hands when they want to fold.  It is such a 100% accurate tell it.  I don't know how many pots I have stolen because I slightly glance left before acting and see that 2 out of the 3 are ready to fold.  I have even stolen the blinds in a 7 handed 8/16 game UTG+1 with 73o because the blinds were weak tight and everyone else but one player had their hands socked and ready to pitch into the muck.

The number of visual tells that players exhibit are extraordinary.  The audible tells are almost as prominent, albeit more in the fixed limit games...one reason I don't understand why THOSE players wear headphones as much as they do, they are missing loads of information.
