A new policy was apparently implemented yesterday.  Floor personnel are no longer allowed to accept tokes in any form while working the floor.  The toke box in high limit has been removed.

Dang, that is odd...I would like the views/reasons behind this from the Admin(s) if possible.

From what i could ascertain over the last couple of days, it sounds like this was a "move" forced by the state regulatory group that controls gaming.
Apparently they are concerned that floor decisions could be impartial because they may be influenced by tipping patrons( NO accusations that there WAS anything going on).

I know that the floor at the Fort and at Gila, along with other rooms around the state i would assume, are not( and have not) been allowed to take tokes since I can remember.( its always been a law?) It was kind of odd that it was allowed at CAZ.

I heard that the floor people now make an increased hourly rate.

I noticed that the toke box in the top section was BACK on the wall...but no one seems to be using it.
It is labeled "support staff" tips or some such.

i think that floor tips are now split between the floor, chip runners and board.  Im not sure if they are split evenly or shift per shift but, I definetly get the feeling that the majority of floor staff are not happy with the new arrangment.

The chip runners get a lot more chips than the floor does.  I think I am like the only one that has tipped the board in the past.

There were chip runners who made more, like Ryan i am sure, but he hasn't been around since this new system was implemented. I wonder if he just quit?
It kind of likens to places where dealers( or any group of people) work in a tip pool: Its bad, tip pools makes the good ones apathetic( in theory), and the bad ones don't improve because they make the same as everyone else anyway
